The
Problem

Personal injury legal advertising is a sea of aggressive hand gestures, daytime TV cliches, and repetitive billboards. Blake Maislin already owned unmatched local brand equity in Cincinnati—iconic jingle, famous 444-4444 number, and a beloved vintage boxing motif. The challenge wasn’t building brand awareness from scratch; it was breaking through category fatigue with an idea bold enough to turn passive local recognition into active cultural talk value.

What We Did

We turned the fight against corporate adjusters into actual, playable nostalgia. Channeling the classic 8-bit aesthetic of 1980s NES classic Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!!, we pixelated Blake into the hero of his own retro arcade battle against thinly veiled, heavyweight insurance mascots—from khaki-wearing agents and reptilian spokes-critters to literal cavemen. By subverting well-funded national brand tropes into pixel-art bosses, we gave an old-school legal brand a playful, culturally sticky vehicle that celebrates the David vs. Goliath reality of injury law.

The Payoff

Instead of another interruptive direct-response commercial, we built an engaging piece of interactive branded entertainment that honored the firm’s brand history while radically refreshing its relevance and always directing gamers toward ways to contact Blake. The campaign transformed a standard broadcast media buy into an earned-attention asset that punches well above its category weight, with thousands of players throwing down against Big Insurance’s biggest baddies.
